Dentistry has really advanced over the last ten years.  Really just even walking into our office, each operatory has all individual equipment.  

When we’re hiring the dental assistants, we are looking really for that personality; someone who can engage with the patient, wow the patient, have that patient relationship.

Fortis has been a huge help for us in considering new hires just because of the fact that we’ve been able to work with them in the intern/extern program.  They send students into us for a 12-week period and we get to show them our side of dentistry.

So Fortis has really been a place that we reach out to knowing that they have great candidates, knowing that they are well-skilled and well-versed in all aspects of being a dental assistant.  And even if it’s someone who hasn’t worked in our office, I know that Carolina and the ladies will give me honest feedback on how they did on their externships in other offices.
